Organizational Structure
Lexington County has 96 precincts, each of which elects officers including a President, Executive Committeeman, and others as needed. The Executive Committeeman “EC” is the voting member that represents the precinct at Executive Committee meetings, which are open to everyone to attend and usually meets the first Monday of every month at 6:30 PM at Flight Deck Restaurant at 109 Old Chapin Rd in Lexington. Our leadership team, the Steering Committee, includes elected and appointed officers, such as committee and district chairs. We also have a voting representative at all South Carolina Republican Party quarterly meetings.
Every two years we hold Reorganization, followed by the County Convention where we elect county leaders, select delegates to the state convention, and vote on rule changes.
