LCRP Celebrates Victories in Primaries
(Lexington, S.C) 27 June, 2024 - The Lexington County Republican Party (LCRP) celebrated a hard-fought primary season on Tuesday, June 25th with more successes from their endorsements, and looking forward to conservatives winning elections in November’s general election.
There were three state senate primary runoffs remaining where voters had a choice and conservatives secured massive victories.
Republican Sen. Billy Garrett easily won re-election to Senate District 10 and Carlisle Kennedy won a decisive victory over incumbent Sen. Katrina Shealy in District 23 after being endorsed by the LCRP. These successful endorsements build on our strong record of legislative endorsements in the initial June 11th Primary.
In the Senate District 26 primary, Jason Guerry was successful and will take on State Rep. Russell Ott in the November election.
Lexington County Republican Chairman Mark Weber said that “The Lexington GOP will now focus on supporting President Trump, and conservative candidates at every level down to school board in the November general election. School Board is a top priority moving forward.”
Weber added, “Our focus on winning and having conservatives represent us remains strong. We will continue to build on our successes, and grow even stronger. Our resources supporting conservative candidates have proven to make a difference, and have led to victory.”
