Statement on Weekend Before SC Primary
Mark Weber, Chairman of The Lexington County Republican Party, released the following statement as the South Carolina Primary Election approaches next Tuesday:
Like many fellow republicans, I am angry, and we now find ourselves in a dystopian reality. Yes, the gloves are off, and it is time to fight for our rights, get involved, and win.
As most folks know, the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee’s WinRed website crashed last week as it was overloaded and literally could not handle the volume of donations pouring in after the disgraceful New York verdict that motivated people to get engaged and contribute whatever they could afford.
The RNC and Trump campaign reportedly raised over $141 million dollars in May — 25% were new donors, and the average donation was just over $70.
Likewise, the Lexington County Republican Party has had a record number of volunteers get engaged and working to support their preferred candidates this election. We have been door knocking, attending candidate events, making phone calls and talking with neighbors and friends about current politics. People correctly understand the magnitude and meaning of the unprecedented New York trial verdict.
Everyone is asking the same question: How can I help fight back?
First and foremost, pray for our Country! Everyone understands that the Country is weaker under and vulnerable under Joe Biden. We need to seek guidance and pray for our local, state and national governmental leaders.
President Trump will be formally nominated on July 15th at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Not coincidentally, the biased Manhattan judge has set President Trump’s sentencing date for four days before the convention.
Our Lexington County delegation of six people have been elected by Republicans from the 2nd Congressional District and the State of South Carolina to go to Milwaukee and nominate President Trump to make it official. Liberal protestors and agitators will emerge in Milwaukee like cicada this year. They will be noisy and plan to create issues and disrupt the events. Pray for the safety of our delegation and all in attendance.
After Voting in the June 11th Primary, stay engaged to Elect Republicans in November.
There is nothing greater you can do than volunteer your time right here in Lexington County. Victory in November will take all of us working in our neighborhoods to Save America.
Volunteer to help a candidate’s campaign or with the Republican Party. We need help knocking on doors, calling voters and ensuring election integrity here in South Carolina. As the Wyoming Freedom Caucus recently stated, “If today’s Dems are openly afraid of you, you’re doing something right. If they’re not, you might want to reconsider your priorities.”
